Saab Seaeye Key People

Managing Director
Dave Grant joined Saab Seaeye in July 2007 and brought
over 20 years of experience in underwater equipment design
and sales. His previous positions with ROV manufacturing
companies were as Technical Director followed by Managing
Director of Hydrovision of Aberdeen and as Regional Sales
Manager with SMD in Newcastle upon Tyne. In December 2007
he became Managing Director of Saab Seaeye.
Engineering Director
Jon Robertson joined Saab Seaeye in 1998 as a 'special
projects' engineer drawing on his Industrial Design & Technology
degree course at Loughborough University and experience at
Motorola. He has worked on mechanical engineering aspects
of the Seaeye Puma and Lynx ROV systems and was responsible
for the project management of the Seaeye Falcon development
program. In July 2004 he joined the Seaeye Board of Directors
where he is responsible for the planning, organisation
and implementation of all Seaeye engineering activities.
Sales Manager
James Douglas joined Saab Seaeye in 2007
from a Marine Electronics background with 15 years of experience
in sales, marketing and management of key accounts and
distribution in the UK, Europe and the Middle East markets.
His primary responsibility at Seaeye is for ROV system
sales at home and internationally as well as the management
of the sales department.
Technical Support Manager
Nik Pyle, who holds a BSc in Electronics, joined Saab Seaeye
in 1997 as an Electrical Production Technician. During his
time served with the company Nik gained valuable experience
testing and maintaining Seaeye systems during the manufacturing
process and working both offshore and at customer sites.
Today he is the principal point for after sales technical
support as well as the management of all repair work.
Production Manager
Peter Vallender joined Saab Seaeye in 2000 and is responsible
for all production activities within the company. He gained
his 25 years electrical engineering and management experience
in the Royal Navy Submarine Service before moving into industry.
Previous positions held at Seaeye include Health & Safety,
Operations Supervisor and Technical Author.
Financial Controller
Simon Warne joined Saab Seaeye as Financial Controller
in July 2007. He is responsible for all aspects
of the finance function.
Quality Assurance Manager
John Doherty joined Saab Seaeye in December 2003. Reporting
directly to the Managing Director, John has full responsibility
for all Quality matters including the maintenance of Seaeye's
certification to ISO9001:2000. John is an IQA approved Lead
Assessor and has been a Quality Professional for over 20
years. John is also responsible for all Health and Safety
matters.
